According to British intelligence, the significant damage to the Russian radar system in the war became a serious obstacle for the Russian Federation.
This is stated in the intelligence review of the British Ministry of Defense.
It is noted that during August 30-31, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continued offensive actions in the south of Ukraine, reinforcing them with intensive long-range strikes against Russian command and logistical facilities in the zone of occupation.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine also released a video showing Ukrainian aircraft operating high-speed anti-radar missiles (HARM). Russia has previously claimed to have discovered fragments of these types of weapons designed to locate and destroy radars.
"Russia prioritizes strong ground-based air defense - the radar coverage that enables this is a critical capability for its operations in Ukraine," the review says.
"A significant, sustained deterioration of the Russian radar system with the help of HARM would be a serious obstacle to Russia's already problematic situational awareness," the intelligence said.
The day before, British intelligence reported that the Ukrainian military managed to move the front line in the south in some places, and the Russian Federation will probably try to strengthen these areas.
