The Prime Minister of Sweden announced a new aid package for Ukraine worth one billion kroner

The Prime Minister of Sweden, Magdalena Anderson, announced that the Swedish government will provide Ukraine with a new aid package totaling one billion Swedish kroner (about $100 million).

 

 She said this at a press conference with the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba in Stockholm.

 

 "We cannot allow Russia to win this unjust and unjustified war. You are defending yourself and your country, but you are also defending our shared European values ​​and the rules-based international order," Andersson said.

 

 "It is our honor and duty to support you. That is why my government will provide Ukraine with a new aid package in the amount of one billion Swedish kronor, that is, approximately 100 million dollars," she said.

 

 According to the prime minister, half of the package is military support for Ukraine, which includes the weapons requested by the Ukrainian government and will supplement the contributions of other countries.

 

 "The second part is aimed at supporting the Ukrainian economy, stability and recovery," she added.

 

 Also, according to Andersson, the Swedish side is already involved in the construction of temporary shelters for people who have lost their homes.

 

 In addition, Sweden will facilitate the export of Ukrainian grain.
