The Russian army killed 376 children in Ukraine - Prosecutor General's Office

As a result of the full-scale invasion, the Russian military killed at least 376 children in Ukraine. The Prosecutor General's Office reported this on Telegram.

 

 "More than 1,109 children have been injured in Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. As of the morning of August 25, 2022, according to the official information of juvenile prosecutors, 376 children have died and more than 733 have been injured of varying degrees of severity," the message reads.

 

 On August 24, the enemy launched a rocket attack on the town of Chaplyne in the Sinelnyk district of the Dnipropetrovsk region. Two children aged 6 and 11 died, five more were injured.

 

 On the same day, two children aged 10 and 16 were injured as a result of shelling of the civilian infrastructure of the city of Novy Bug, Mykolayiv region.

 

 On the night of August 25, the occupiers shelled the village of Velikomykhaylivka, Synelniky district, Dnipropetrovsk region. Three children aged 2, 7 and 15 were injured.

 

 Children were most affected in the Donetsk region - 388, Kharkiv - 202, Kyiv - 116, Chernigiv - 68, Mykolayiv - 67, Lugansk - 61, Kherson - 55, Zaporizhzhya - 41.

 

 As noted, these numbers are not final, as work continues to determine the injured and dead in active hostilities, as well as in temporarily captured and liberated territories.

 

 By bombing and shelling, Russian troops damaged 2,328 educational institutions in Ukraine, of which 289 were completely destroyed.
