Over the weekend, Russia began moving barges into position to build a massive floating bridge across the Dnipro, right next to the damaged Antonivskyi road bridge. However, this bridge will be vulnerable to Ukrainian strikes.
The British Ministry of Defense reported this on Twitter.
"The crossing is a key connecting link between Kherson occupied by Russia and the east," the report says.
For several weeks, Russian troops relied on ferry crossings across the waterway. According to British intelligence, if Russia completes the makeshift bridge, it will increase capacity compared to the ferry crossing.
"The floating bridge, as before, will be vulnerable to Ukrainian offensive actions," the British Ministry of Defense believes.
