An updated map of the war in Ukraine as of today, 16 September, has been published. The Russian troops are conducting an offensive in several areas in Donbas, but the Ukrainian soldiers are holding their ground.

According to the updated picture, the occupying forces are advancing in the direction of the Lisychansk Oil Refinery - Ivano-Dariivka in Kramatorsk. The fighting continues.

Meanwhile, the Russian units also conducted offensive and assault operations in the Volodimirivka - Bakhmut and Stryapivka - Soledar areas, but our defenders disrupted and drove the enemy back. Fights continue in such areas as Pokrovsk - Bakhmut and Gorlivka - Zalizniy.

In addition, the enemy is also attacking in the Staromikhailivka-Nevelske area, where the fighting is also continuing.

At the same time, the invaders are attacking in the Solodke-Novomikhailivka area, where they are often successful. However, the fighting continued.

At the same time, in the Pivdenno-Buzskiy sector, the Russians' attempt to improve the tactical situation by assaults in the Zalinyi Gai - Novohrihorivka area resulted in significant losses for the occupying forces. The enemy retreated.

Also on the Siversky line, the enemy retains the Russian Federation's armed forces units in the border areas of the Bryansk and Kursk regions, and on the Kharkiv line, the enemy deployed small arms and rocket-propelled artillery.
