Ukraine can end the war with Russia and win as early as spring, reaching the borders of 1991.
General Dmytro Marchenko told this in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.
"I wouldn't want to take on predictions. But if we have the amount of weapons that we have been promised, that we need, I think next spring we will be celebrating victory," he said.
According to Marchenko, Ukraine has already passed the point of no return after Irpen and Bucha, so it is categorically impossible to talk about any negotiations by surrendering any of its territory.
"If we do that, we will simply shift this war onto the shoulders of our children. If we leave the enemy even a piece of land, he will come home, draw certain conclusions and in six or eight years will attack again. So we need to defend all territory, we need to take control of all borders of Ukraine and not leave them a single piece of our land," the general added.
