Russia's blockade of Ukrainian ports is causing significant losses to both the economy of Ukraine and the world. Food exports will allow returning about 10 billion dollars to the state economy. President Volodymyr Zelensky said this in a speech to students in Australia.

"The economy today is in a coma. And we must all the world, as doctors, to make our economy breathe," he said.

Zelensky noted that the monthly deficit is $5 billion.

"There (in the ports - ed.), at least $10 billion worth of grain, which should return to our economy ... This grain will give us an opportunity to live for another two months. This is important for us, and Russia is blocking it because it understands that blocking the ports can lead to starvation and chaos in many countries," the president added.
