On July 28, the day of the baptism of Kievan Rus, Ukraine celebrates the Day of Ukrainian Statehood for the first time. President Volodymyr Zelensky has already congratulated the citizens on this holiday.

The President noted that the morning of July 28 was turbulent. After all, again the Russian occupants launched missile strikes on our peaceful cities.

"We will not give up. We will not lower our arms. We will not be intimidated. Ukraine is an independent, free, indivisible state. And will always be so," Zelensky stressed.

He added that not all "thieves have died like dew on the dream. However, we are a Cossack family, and that means we will definitely "have a lot of fun".

We remind that we celebrate the Day of Ukrainian statehood for the first time. The 28th of July is the day of the Baptism of Kievan Rus. Last year, President Volodymyr Zelensky suggested to introduce this holiday during the celebrations to mark the Independence Day of Ukraine.

In his address to his fellow citizens, Volodymyr Zelensky made a statement about the end of the war.

Ukraine and Russia are fighting for different things. Therefore, its final will be different for each country: for Russians - failure, and for Ukrainians - victory.

"We are fighting for different things, so the end of this battle will be different for everyone. In meaning and even in sounding. In Russian it is the failure of the "special operation. In Ukrainian, it is victory in the war. That's why it will be, that's why there will be a Ukrainian state," Zelensky said.
