Ukraine's counterattack near Kherson is gaining momentum. The Ukrainian Armed Forces have established a bridgehead south of the Ingulets River, which forms the northern border of the Russian-occupied region.

This was reported by the British Ministry of Defense on Twitter.

According to the report, the Ukrainian army used its new long-range artillery to damage at least three bridges across the Dnieper River, on which Russia depends for supplies to territories under its control.

According to British intelligence, one of them, the 1,000-meter Antonov Bridge near Kherson, was damaged last week. Ukraine struck it again on July 27, 2022, and it is very likely that it is now unusable.

"The Russian 49th Army, which is stationed on the western bank of the Dnieper River, and currently looks very vulnerable. Similarly, the city of Kherson, the most politically significant population center occupied by Russia, is now virtually cut off from other occupied territories. Its loss will seriously undermine Russia's attempts to present the occupation as a success," the British Defense Ministry said.

We shall remind you that on the night of July 27, the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out another attack on the Antonov Bridge in Kherson.
