By the end of the year, Ukraine is going to sign a major new program with the International Monetary Fund. This will help strengthen the Ukrainian economy, overcoming the challenges caused by Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine. About this in an interview with Reuters told the head of the National Bank of Ukraine Kyrylo Shevchenko.
As noted in the NBU, Ukraine is currently continuing consultations with the IMF on a new programme, the amount of financing under which could reach up to 20bn dollars. The IMF is currently holding consultations with Ukraine on a new programme that might bring up to 20BN dollars.
The relevant program for Ukraine, if implemented, will become the second active IMF program in terms of financing (after Argentina).
