Ukraine returned the bodies of 25 more dead soldiers. This was reported in Telegram by the Ministry of Reintegration of the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
"There was another operation to hand over the bodies of dead military personnel. Ukraine returned the bodies of 25 more of its defenders," the message said.
The operation was carried out with the cooperation of the Commissioner for Missing Persons Oleg Kotenko and other security agencies of Ukraine.
The process of return of the bodies is carried out in accordance with the Geneva Convention norms, the Ministry of Reintegration noted.
In June, the largest exchange of prisoners of war took place between Ukraine and Russia since February 24. 144 Ukrainian servicemen, including 95 defenders of Azovstal, were released from Russian captivity.
Fighters from the National Guard - 59; Naval Forces - 30; Armed Forces of Ukraine - 28; State Border Guard Service of Ukraine - 17; Territorial Defense - 9; National Police of Ukraine - 1 returned home.
