Ukraine will start exporting grain through the Black Sea in accordance with the agreements signed in Istanbul, President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed.
"We have prepared everything. From our side there is a corridor, in our waters it is controlled by Ukraine and checks (of ships - IF-U) in them will be made only by Ukrainians ... We will definitely start exporting to prove once again to the whole world: it is not Ukraine disrupting export - these are the narratives that are spread today as disinformation by the Russian side," Zelensky said at a briefing with President Guatemala in Kiev, answering a journalist's question.
At the same time, he said, further security of Ukrainian grain exports rests with Turkey and the UN, with whom agreements have been signed.
"We trust Turkey and the UN, with whom we have signed relevant documents regarding the export of grain, and they must take care of the safety of ships of other states that agree to transport grain, corn and barley to other countries," the president said.
In this context, he also noted that the release of Snake Island. Serpentine is an important factor in controlling the security of other grain transportation corridors.
"It is important regarding the security control of other corridors of grain transportation, and then it is already a question to the UN and Turkey, how much they can control the Russian Federation, which, as it turned out, can hit with missiles even after the agreements," - added Zelensky.
