The Ukrainian delegation has arrived for negotiations on the solution of the grain issue in Turkey's Istanbul, where the relevant documents may be signed today. The delegation's arrival was reported by the Ministry of Infrastructure.
"The Ukrainian delegation led by the Minister of infrastructure of Ukraine Alexander Kubrakov arrived in Istanbul for negotiations on the solution of the grain issue," the agency said in Telegram.
Reportedly, within the framework of the visit, the Ukrainian side held a meeting with the Secretary General of the Organization António Gutteres. The dialogue focused on the UN initiative to unblock seaports for the export of food and security guarantees for ships.
"The Secretary General once again expressed his support for the unblocking of Ukrainian ports and assured that security is an unconditional priority for the UN. For its part, the Organization will do its best to ensure that this principle is observed by all participants of the negotiations", - said in the Ministry of Infrastructure.
The mass media reported that Russian Defence Minister Sergey Shoygu had already arrived in Istanbul to sign an agreement on the export of Ukrainian grain.
The signing of the document is scheduled for 16:30.
Negotiations on resumption of Ukrainian grain exports under the auspices of the United Nations are scheduled for July 22 in Turkey. As a result, a document containing the parties' obligations for the safe operation of export routes in the Black Sea may be signed.
