Poles have already collected more than 14.5 million zlotys - about two-thirds of the required amount - as part of the campaign to raise funds for the purchase of a combat drone "Bayraktar" for Ukraine.
This was announced by the initiator of the campaign, journalist Slawomir Serakowski.
By mid-day July 15, the collection counter shows 14 million 570 thousand zlotys of the necessary 22.5 million zlotys. Since the start of the campaign more than 131 thousand people have contributed. Until the end of the collection is 13 days.
According to the plan, if he fails to collect the full required amount within a month, the funds will be transferred for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to a special account of the National Bank of Ukraine. The same is planned to be done with the surplus of funds, which will be received after the 22.5 million zlotys mark is passed.
The campaign was announced on 28 June, inspired by the successful collection in Lithuania and Ukraine.
