I do not envy neither Ukraine nor Moldova - Georgian Prime Minister spoke out about the European Commission's decision

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, commenting on the European Commission's decision to recommend granting candidate status to Ukraine and Moldova, said that he does not envy either Ukraine or Moldova. This was reported by NewsGeorgia.

"We understand very well that Ukraine is in a very difficult situation, 20% of its territory has already been lost and the war continues. Also Moldova is in a very difficult situation. Moldova is one of the first to suffer from the war. So I really do not envy either Ukraine or Moldova," he said.

According to the premier, Ukraine is given this status because it is at war.

"You saw a few days ago that the national leaders confirm this fact, that this decision was taken because Ukraine is at war and in personal conversations with me it was said that Moldova is also in a difficult situation," Garibashvili added.
