Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that he is ready to negotiate an end to the war when the "other side" is ready to end it.
"The main thing that distinguishes me from that time (peaceful), I am not looking for balance. To negotiate about something somehow. We know exactly what we're doing. I have no doubts whatsoever. We are only ready to talk when the other side is ready to end the war. There is no time to talk," Zelensky said in an interview with German broadcaster ZDF.
"There should be no doubts. We have to act, because time is working for your enemy, not for us," he added.
According to Zelensky, "we are on our own land, this is our people and our territory." "It's very painful to lose people. But we will lose everything if we yield to Russia in this war," the president stressed.
He also confirmed information about German Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz's visit to Ukraine, saying at the end of the interview, "It is very important that Chancellor Scholz is coming now, at a time of war."
