German health minister to come to Ukraine

German Minister of Health Karl Lauterbach is going on a visit to Ukraine on Thursday.

This is reported by Bild.

Lauterbach announced the visit on Wednesday at a meeting of the network of doctors in Düsseldorf. He will meet with the Ukrainian health minister. Among other things, he is concerned about how best to care for the wounded.

The minister said he wants to find out how people who lost their legs or arms in war can be better equipped with prostheses. That includes traumatized children.

Lauterbach called Russia's war against Ukraine "a barbaric, destructive and unjust war of aggression."

"It is beyond civilization and should be condemned in any form," he said.

Earlier it was reported that German Finance Minister Christian Lindner is preparing a trip to Kyiv.
