At least 741 children suffered from Russian armed aggression in Ukraine

At least 741 children have suffered as a result of Russia's large-scale invasion of Ukraine, according to the Office of the Prosecutor General.

"More than 741 children have suffered in Ukraine as a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. As of the morning of June 8, 2022, the official number of child victims was unchanged at 263 for the day. The number of wounded has increased - 478," the report says.

The largest number of children, as indicated, suffered in the Donetsk region - 190, Kharkiv - 122, Kyiv - 116, Chernihiv - 68, Lugansk - 53, Kherson - 52, Mykolaiv - 47, Zaporizhzhia - 30, Sumy - 17, in Kyiv - 16, Zhitomyr - 15.

These figures are not final, as the work is being done to establish them in the places of active combat operations, in the occupied and liberated territories.

Due to constant bombing and shelling of Ukrainian towns and villages by the Russian armed forces, it is reported that 1958 educational institutions were damaged. Of these, 186 were completely destroyed.
