Russian occupants fired a missile at a kindergarten in Stepnogorsk village, Vasilyevsky district, Zaporizhia region, Telegram of the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration reported.
"The enemy shelled the kindergarten in the village Stepnogorsk, Vasilievsky district of Zaporizhzhia region. The missile hit the yard of the preschool educational institution. Splinters broke about a hundred windows," reads the report.
A total of 8 occupant shells hit Stepnogorsk in the past 24 hours, from 18:00 to 19:00 hours. The housing stock of the third microdistrict of the city was destroyed. One man was wounded and the injured were hospitalized.
The enemy shelled the urban-type settlement almost daily. There has been no centralized water supply in the settlement since early March. Wells are located 15 km away from the settlement, on temporarily occupied territory. Due to constant shelling, the village experiences power outages.
Before the war, over 5,000 people lived in Stepnogorsk, now it is half as many.
