The US has expanded the sanctions list against Russian officials and companies in connection with the invasion of Ukraine. This was reported by the US Treasury Department.
The list includes 17 Russians, including Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova, cellist Sergei Roldugin, whom Vladimir Putin called his friend, businessman Alexei Mordashov, his wife and two of his sons, and businessman God Nisanov.
As for the companies, they are on the list of 16, including "Severstal", associated with the family of Mordashov. The list includes 3 more of his companies - Severgroup, Nordgold, Algorithm. The businessman in 2017 took 2 place in the list of the 200 richest businessmen in Russia according to Forbes magazine.
In addition, the American side has imposed sanctions against 7 yachts and 3 planes, which are associated with the Russians.
