He manipulated humanitarian aid: the deputy head of the Chernivtsi Regional Administration was unmasked

The Security Service of Ukraine has exposed the deputy head of the Chernivtsi regional military administration for manipulation with humanitarian aid. This is reported by the press service of the SBU.

 

As noted, the official promoted the use for commercial purposes of ambulances, which were transferred to Ukraine from Italy as humanitarian support.

 

It was this specialized deputy chairman of the RSA who was responsible for distributing the ambulances and identified one of the regional medical institutions as a recipient of part of this humanitarian aid.

 

The transaction was conducted through the general director of the medical institution. The head of the hospital transferred five received ambulances to the controlled public charity organization, the founder and owner of which he was, in order to provide paid transport services to the patients.

 

That is, the perpetrators made money on the cars, which in fact were intended for gratuitous aid on behalf of the state.

 

Now within the framework of criminal proceedings under Part 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine is under pre-trial investigation.

 

Earlier, the Security Service of Ukraine exposed a scheme of large-scale theft of humanitarian aid intended for the Ukrainian army.

 

According to the investigation, the perpetrators tried to illegally sell more than 1,000 bullet-proof vests worth over 12 million hryvnias.
