France is setting up a special group to investigate the circumstances of the death of journalist Frederic Leclerc-Imhoff in Luhansk Region. This was announced by French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna during her visit to Kyiv.

The Minister said that the group to investigate the circumstances of Leclerc's death will be led by Ukrainian law enforcers. She also addressed the press and urged to give due publicity to the death of a representative of the media community.

Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron said that Frederic Leclerc-Imhoff was in Ukraine to show the realities of war and died escaping Russian bombs.

Recall that a French journalist died the day before as a result of enemy shelling in the Luhansk region during evacuation. The journalist was writing about the evacuation and was accredited in Ukraine.
