About 30,500 troops and more than 3,300 armored vehicles: Russia's losses in Ukraine were named

Since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, some 30,500 Russian servicemen have been killed. The enemy also lost more than 3,300 armored combat vehicles.

This was reported by the AFU General Staff on Facebook.

The enemy's combat losses as of May 31 are tentatively as follows:

  • Personnel - about 30,500 (+150)
  • Tanks - 1358 (+9)
  • Armored combat vehicles - 3,302 (+20)
  • Artillery Systems - 649 (+6)
  • ARMORED DEFENSE SYSTEMS - 207 (+2)
  • Air defense vehicles - 93 (+0)
  • Aircrafts - 208 (+1)
  • Helicopters - 174 (+0)
  • Operational-tactical UAVs - 515 (+8)
  • Cruise missiles 120 (+2)
  • Ships/boats - 13 (+0)
  • Vehicles and tankers - 2275 (+17)
  • Special equipment - 48 (+0)

"The largest losses of the enemy (over the past 24 hours) were observed in the Krivoy Rog and Zaporizhzhya directions. The data is being clarified," the report said.

Meanwhile, the BBC's Russian service notes that at least 3,052 Russian soldiers and officers have been killed in Ukraine since the start of the full-scale war. However, the figure may be 40-60% higher, as these are only those whose names have been called publicly.

According to the weekly, such a count cannot be accurate because regional authorities and the media do not name all the dead. Journalists collected a "hypothetical picture" of casualties using information from local cemeteries.

In particular, the graves of war dead were found in 11 cemeteries: in Stavropol, Kazan, Krasnodar, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Balashikha, near Ulyanovsk and in the Kaliningrad region.

They add that since the beginning of the war the Defense Ministry has reported about casualties only twice. On March 2 the ministry stated about 498 killed and 1,597 wounded, and on March 25 - about 1,351 killed and 3,825 wounded.
