French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna said she arrived in Ukraine on Monday and is expected to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
"Just arrived in Ukraine to lend French support to the Ukrainian people," Colonna wrote on Twitter.
French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv later Monday to express France's solidarity with Ukraine and offer additional support to the country, citing the French Foreign Ministry, Reuters wrote.
Colonna's trip to Ukraine comes amid criticism from some diplomats and political analysts that France is not doing enough to support Ukraine in its fight against Russia.
EU leaders will also meet Monday to reiterate support for Ukraine, amid Russian troops stepping up attacks to seize Severodonetsk.
