The victims of Russia's war against Ukraine are already 243 children

Russia's armed aggression in Ukraine has killed 243 children, the Office of the Prosecutor General reported.

"As of the morning of May 30, 2022, more than 687 children were injured in Ukraine as a result of full-scale armed aggression by the Russian Federation. According to official information from juvenile prosecutors, 243 children were killed and more than 444 injured," the report said.

According to the prosecutor's office, the most injured children were in the Donetsk region - 153, Kyiv region - 116, Kharkiv region - 109, Chernihiv region - 68, Lugansk region - 52, Kherson region - 52, Mykolaiv region - 47, Zaporizhzhia region - 29, Sumy region - 17, in Kyiv city - 16, Zhitomyr region - 15.

These figures are not final, as work is under way to establish them in places of active combat operations, in temporarily occupied and liberated territories.

Thus, on May 29, a 9-year-old girl was killed as a result of enemy shelling of the village of Mirolyubovka, Kherson district, Kherson region. Two other children: a 7-month-old infant and a 5-year-old girl were wounded.

On May 26, a 16-year-old boy was wounded due to Russian troops shelling the town of Lisichansk in Luhansk region.

On May 25, a 3-year-old boy was wounded as a result of shelling of Studenok village of Izyum district of Kharkiv region.

Due to constant bombing and shelling of Ukrainian towns and villages by the Russian armed forces, 1,888 educational institutions were damaged. At the same time, 180 of them were completely destroyed, the prosecutor's office noted.
