Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Kyiv was satisfied with China's policy on war issues. During a speech at the Ukrainian Breakfast in Davos, the head of state assured that it is better to be on the sidelines than to help Russia.
"I think China has chosen the policy of being on the sidelines for the moment. I think it is this policy that suits Ukraine. It's better than helping rf, in any case... We are satisfied with this status quo, to tell you the truth. So far I don't see China taking any steps against Ukraine. I, unfortunately, don't see any support for China. And the question is not about me. Our society doesn't see it," the president noted.
The President believes that China lacks relations with the United States, which would have a very good effect on relations with Russia.
Note that on May 14, the G7 ministers called on China "not to violate the sanctions" imposed on Russia.
In particular, they called "not to help Russia in its aggressive war against Ukraine, not to undermine the sanctions imposed on Russia for its attack on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
