The end of Russia's war against Ukraine depends on several things. In particular, the willingness of the parties, the financial strength of Ukraine, and the unwillingness of Western countries to go to war with Russia.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said this during an online participation in the Ukrainian Breakfast in Davos.

"As for when this war can end, I think it depends on several things. First of all, on the desire of the different sides, the desire of the united West about the strength and armament, the financial strength of Ukraine, the desire of the united West not to be afraid to fight with Russia, to fight this hybrid war in different ways, not by their own people," he said.

According to the president, the end of the war also depends on Russia's desire, because the war will end anyway.

"We understand that there is a military part of the war and after it in any case there will be a peace process and a negotiating table and there will definitely be peace. The question is with whom Ukraine will negotiate, with which president of Russia. This also depends on the wish of the incumbent Russian president," Zelensky said.

In his opinion, the current Russian president is not aware of what is happening.

"He lives in his information world, not understanding that Ukraine will not make concessions. We are fighting on our own soil and not against anyone, but for ourselves and for our freedom, our future. It must live in reality. You can only talk to the President of the Russian Federation today, there is no point in talking to intermediaries," Zelensky added.

The president stressed that when Vladimir Putin is ready to come out in reality, he will definitely understand that it is necessary to end the war that he started.

"And then it will be possible to try to go on diplomatic goals, if it is not too late. It is with this current government. And whether it's too late or not depends on many things," he summarized.
