The Russian military are entrenched in Svatovo and Starobelsk, awaiting a summer counterattack by the AFU. All captured territories of the Luhansk region are waiting for de-occupation.

The head of the Luhansk regional state administration, Serhiy Gaidai, announced this in his Telegram channel.

According to Gaidai, Severodonetsk and the villages around it suffer the most from enemy shelling now. Here the enemy is trying to get closer to the regional center.

"Hot" now in the mountain and Popasnya communities, where the occupants want to cut off the "road of life", said the head of the regional state administration.

"Ukrainian defenders destroy our road infrastructure, only in extreme cases, to deter the advance of the aggressor and replenishment to block in them weapons, killers and equipment. We will rebuild everything with Russian money," Gaidai reported.

The head of the OVA noted that the enemy troops are preparing to "press on" the Luhansk region, where they are pulling thousands of units of equipment and manpower. But the Ukrainian defenders are ready to "meet" and said the Luhansk region is waiting for de-occupation.

"In late June or early July, Ukrainian troops may go on a counteroffensive. The Russians are preparing for this in Starobelsk and Svatovo. Also, the Rashists are preparing to pack their bags, and the remnants of those who survive will flee to the Russian border," Gaidai noted.

According to him, about 50 thousand people still remain in the Luhansk Region.
