Armed Russian aggression in Ukraine has killed 229 children, the Office of the Prosecutor General reported.
"As of the morning of May 16, 2022, more than 650 children have been injured in Ukraine as a result of full-scale armed aggression by the Russian Federation. According to the official data of the juvenile prosecutors, 229 children were killed and more than 421 wounded," the report said.
It is noted that the most affected children were in the Donetsk region - 140, Kyiv region - 116, Kharkiv region - 100, Chernihiv region - 68, Kherson region - 48, Lugansk region - 45, Mykolaiv region - 44, Zaporizhzhia region - 28, Sumy region - 17, in Kyiv city - 16, Zhitomyr region - 15.
These figures will be adjusted as they are established in places of active combat operations, in temporarily occupied and liberated territories.
