Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, in his evening address, spoke about the use of missiles by the Russian army since the start of the war against Ukraine in 2014. 2,682 times enemy warplanes appeared in the Ukrainian sky.
In total, during this war, the Russian army has already used 2014 missiles against Ukraine. 2,682 appearances of Russian warplanes in our skies were recorded. Each of these 'arrivals' means the death of our people and the destruction of our infrastructure," Zelensky noted.
Speaking only about the medical infrastructure, the head of state emphasized that the enemy had already destroyed or damaged about 400 medical facilities. These are hospitals, maternity hospitals, and outpatient clinics.
A critical situation with access to medical services and medicines is now in the temporarily occupied regions of Ukraine, in the east and south of the country. Even the simplest medicines are in short supply.
"Russia has brought to Ukraine, to Europe such problems that we could not have imagined just a few months ago. This is a complete lack of treatment for cancer patients. It is extremely complicated or completely lacking access to insulin for diabetic patients. It's the impossibility of surgical procedures... It's even just a shortage of antibiotics! These are the consequences of the Russian occupation for part of our land, for part of our people, which we must liberate from the invaders," Zelensky said.
