Ukraine won't enter such a diplomatic quagmire anymore: Zelensky on freezing the conflict

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that he would not agree to freeze the conflict with Russia and called the process a "diplomatic quagmire. He said this during a speech at the Wall Street Journal CEO Council Summit.

"We're not going to go to a frozen conflict. I came to the presidency when there was Minsk-1, Minsk-2, there were violating relevant documents, so I can frankly say that these were not serious documents. There were agreements on paper, it was frozen such a conflict. I am against it, we will definitely not have such a document," Zelensky said.

According to the president, Ukraine did not violate the Minsk agreements and did not withdraw from the negotiation process. Russia did this by starting a full-scale war.

"We did not come out of Minsk now, the Russian leader came out of it on February 24, he said it publicly, and they started a "military operation," although we understand that this is a war, a full-scale invasion. That's why they came out, and more into such a diplomatic quagmire. Ukraine will definitely not go," Zelensky noted.
