On the eve in the Luhansk region four settlements withstood missile and bomb attacks, the Russian occupants carried out an assault near Popasna, the head of the Luhansk RMA Serhiy Gaidai said in Telegram.
"Rocket and bomb strikes were carried out on Severodonetsk, Rubizhne, Lisichansk and Zolote-4, two people were killed in a day. In addition, the occupants carried out assault actions in the area of Popasna, where fighting continues," Gaidai said.
According to the OVA chairman, every town suffered from the enemy yesterday. "Four settlements withstood missile and bomb attacks. The Russians are not just destroying Popasna - they are removing it from the map of Luhansk region as a populated area. Thirty-four times the enemy hit the residential areas of the region. Two people were killed - a woman from Lysychansk and a man from Popasna. Two women from Lysychansk were wounded," he said.
In particular, according to Gaidai, there were 10 artillery attacks on Lysychansk, eight on Severodonetsk, another 10 on Popasna and Gornaya communities.
Forty-five houses and other objects were damaged. Four houses in Severodonetsk, 12 in Lysychansk, seven in Orekhovo, six in Rubizhne, four in Gorny, four in Popasna, and two in Vrubovka.
In Lysychansk, the building of the Luhansk Regional Medical Center for Dangerous Infectious Diseases and one of the city's schools were engulfed in flames. In Sirotino, the only school in the locality. In Severodonetsk - a shopping center.
"Meanwhile, at the front, 12 enemy attacks were repulsed - six tanks, five artillery systems (of which 3 MLRS), 15 units of armored combat vehicles and nine enemy vehicles were destroyed. Air defense units shot down one cruise missile and three Orlan-10 unmanned aerial vehicles," Gaidai noted.
