"On the Popasnyansk direction the enemy tried to improve the tactical situation in the area of Popasna," he added.
According to Gaidai, during Sunday, May 1, the AFU in the Luhansk region successfully repelled 10 enemy attacks: destroyed two tanks, 17 artillery systems, 38 units of combat armored vehicles and 10 vehicles.
"Air defense units shot down seven unmanned aerial vehicles," listed the head of the region.
In addition, he cited statistics for the past week as well.
"In total, during the week, the servicemen of the United Forces grouping repulsed 63 enemy attacks. They destroyed 45 tanks, 43 artillery systems, four units of special, 149 units of armored combat vehicles, six combat special vehicles, three units of special engineering equipment, 68 units including eight fuel tankers and four anti-aircraft systems of the enemy. The air defense units shot down six aircraft, 32 unmanned aerial vehicles and two cruise missiles of the Russian occupants," he summarized.
