The special operation by the AFU in Severodonetsk was disrupted because of messages in social networks - Malyar

Ukrainian defenders were unable to complete a special operation in Severodonetsk because of messages on social networks. Ukrainians were urged not to divulge details of military tasks. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Defense Anna Malyar in Facebook.

According to her, during the implementation of military operations several tasks are organized in parallel. Their execution must take place secretly and in conditions of non-publicity. Reporting successes or failures on the front can only be done after official statements by the General Staff of the AFU or the Ministry of Defense.

"The public demonstration of civilians' awareness of the progress of military operations and reporting about it on social networks before the official statements of the General Staff partially disrupts military operations - as was the case yesterday and the day before yesterday regarding Severodonetsk. When they simply did not allow the AFU to finish what they had planned," Malyar said.

She urged Ukrainians not to disclose military plans in social networks.
