In Germany, the U.S. began training the Ukrainian military - the Pentagon

The United States has started additional training of Ukrainian military at US military facilities in Germany. This was revealed to CNN.

"This effort builds on the initial artillery training that Ukrainian troops have already received elsewhere and also includes training on radar systems and armored vehicles recently announced as part of security assistance packages," Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said.

According to the speaker, the U.S. uses three locations to train the Ukrainian military outside of Ukraine. And Germany is one of the three locations. Kirby did not talk about the other countries. The training is conducted by the Florida National Guard.

"The recent reunion of these Florida National Guard troops with their Ukrainian counterparts, we were told, was an emotional reunion, given the strong bonds that were formed when they lived and worked together before the temporary separation in February," Kirby said.
