By shelling the railroad tracks, the enemy pursues the goal of destroying Ukraine's exports. This was stated by Vadym Denisenko, advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, on the air of a telethon.
"Previously, Russian troops shelled mostly oil depots, trying to destroy fuel supply chains, but now they have changed their strategy and are starting to shoot primarily at the railway infrastructure, believing that this will stop the movement of goods, both from the west to the east and vice versa. They think they can actually break Ukraine's exports, which is one of the main financial earnings for the country's budget," Denisenko said.
But all the occupiers can achieve with such shelling, as Denisenko noted, is to slow down and delay train traffic.
Yesterday, the Kafirs shelled five railway stations in central and western Ukraine. There are casualties.
