In Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, seven attacks by occupation troops were repelled during the day, and 13 Russian tanks and other equipment were destroyed, according to Oleksiy Arestovich, adviser to the head of the Presidential Office.
"In the past 24 hours only on the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions 7 attacks of the enemy were repulsed. Destroyed 13 tanks, 3 artillery systems, 17 armored vehicles, 4 armored combat vehicles, 18 vehicles and 4 fuel tankers by the AFU Air Defense. Three Orlan-10 UAVs were shot down and this is already the third aircraft in a day," Arestovich said at a briefing at the Office of the President.
According to him, the Russian army continues to concentrate its main efforts in Rubizhne-Severodonetsk-Popasnaya, as well as in the direction from Izyum to Slavyansk and Kramatorsk, but has no success.
An air and artillery attack on Mariupol continues.
"The enemy continues to attack the defense area of our forces in Mariupol, which is the Azovstal plant, using aviation, artillery and other means, including ground means. They are trying to advance there by assault groups, that is, they are violating the order of their commander-in-chief, Russian President Vladimir Putin, which once again shows with whom we are fighting," said Arestovich.
In the Kherson region, the enemy is trying to reach the administrative borders of the region.
