The occupants have withdrawn four submarines capable of launching Kalibr cruise missiles from their Crimean base in the Black Sea. The probability of missile strikes from the sea is quite high. This is reported by the speaker of the Odesa regional military administration Sergei Bratchuk.
We are talking about Russian Project 877 "Paltus" submarines, which are capable of launching missiles from a depth of up to 50 meters, which does not allow radars and satellites to register them effectively.
The enemy began to use them more frequently after the sinking of the "Moskva" cruiser by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Earlier the representative of the Ministry of Defense Alexander Motuzyanik spoke about two such submarines and that "the enemy ship groups in the waters of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov isolate the area of military operations, conduct reconnaissance and provide fire support in the coastal direction.
According to The Times, the submarines have to stay above water in ports for a long time to reload. This is the time when they can be hit.
