The Rada simplified the conditions for registering and receiving unemployment benefits for the period of war

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has simplified the conditions for obtaining the status of unemployed and assignment of unemployment benefits. These rules will be in force during martial law and for 180 days after its termination. This is reported by the website of the parliament.

The corresponding law #7275 on changes in the issues of social insurance in case of unemployment during martial law was adopted as a whole by 296 votes.

This document establishes that during martial law and for 180 calendar days after its termination or cancellation:

unemployment benefits shall be awarded from the first day of granting unemployed status;

payment of unemployment benefits may be carried out without personal visit to a territorial body of executive power, provided that the intention to stay in the status of the unemployed is confirmed at least once every 30 calendar days by any means of communication, including electronically;

the assignment of unemployment benefits to internally displaced persons who do not have the appropriate documents is carried out on the basis of information available in the state registers.

In addition, it is noted that the amount of assistance cannot exceed the amount of one and a half minimum wages.

The law also provides for the expansion of funding for assistance programs:

enterprises - for partial unemployment to 741 million hryvnia;

Citizens - for the organization of their own business to 300 million hryvnia.
