Ukraine demanded that Russia open a humanitarian corridor for civilians from Mariupol to Berdyansk. The refusal of the Russian leadership will serve as grounds for bringing all those involved to criminal responsibility.
This was stated by the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister for the reintegration of the temporarily occupied territories Iryna Vereshchuk.
"In connection with the aggravation of the situation in Mariupol, I appeal to the military and political leadership of the Russian Federation: we demand the opening of a humanitarian corridor from Mariupol to Berdyansk for civilians," Vereshchuk wrote in Telegram.
She also demanded to open a humanitarian corridor for women, children and other civilians from the territory of the Azovstal steel plant.
According to her, the refusal of the Russian leadership to open these humanitarian corridors in the future will serve as a basis for bringing all those involved to criminal responsibility for war crimes.
We recall that today, April 18, the humanitarian corridors for the evacuation of civilians did not open again - the occupants continue to shell the routes of convoys with civilians.
