The Russian military is turning Mariupol into a ghetto. Locals are forced by the occupiers to wear the enemy's white ribbon to make them "bait" for Ukrainian snipers.
This was reported by the adviser to the mayor of Mariupol Peter Andryushchenko in Telegram.
"Danger for the residents. The occupiers encourage Mariupol residents to wear a white ribbon as a mark of "their own." In fact, in this way the Russians once again use the civilian population for "bait" for snipers and soldiers of our troops. Since this is the marking used by the Russian army and can be mistaken by ours for the real enemy. Cynicism in everything," Andryushchenko wrote.
According to him, information also began to come in about the introduction by the occupiers of separate "passes" - permits to move around the city.
"We clarify, but coupled with special markings "own" all this resembles the real segregation and the transformation of Mariupol into a real ghetto for Ukrainians behind a copy of the Nazis in Lviv and Poland. It doesn't even surprise anymore," Andryushchenko stressed.
He also warned that in the left bank district from the park "Rainbow" begins the danger zone.
"In the area of Victory Square and Meotida Boulevard is a zone of direct combat, in addition, snipers are working. The seaside area near the port remains the hottest zone of fighting. From sandy beach to Strelka, there is again rocket artillery fire and aerial bombardment. The central district is safe only in the area of neighborhoods 23-17, the rest is an area of permanent street fighting. That is why we ask you to refrain from entering these areas and from moving around (inform your relatives)," urged Andryushchenko.
At the same time, he stressed that exit and exit from the city is virtually impossible.
"Single cases of release from the city only if placed in the Mangusha and Nikolsky districts, followed by filtration. The filtration takes time to infinity, which once again confirms our fears in the attempt of the Russians to stop the evacuation to Ukrainian-controlled territory," Andryushchenko added.
As a reminder, it recently became known that Russian occupation troops carried out a so-called "mop-up" in Mariupol. They are looking for allegedly "Nazis," killing people by photographing their bodies and forcibly mobilizing men into the "DNR" army.
