According to information available to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the enemy is in readiness for offensive actions in the Donetsk and Tavria directions.
"In the Donetsk and Tavria directions, according to the available information, the enemy is in readiness for offensive actions. It continues to concentrate its main efforts on capturing certain quarters of the city of Mariupol and launching air strikes. The enemy is attempting to conduct assault actions in the areas of Severodonetsk, Rubizhne and Popasna," the AFU General Staff reported on Facebook.
The enemy continues to carry out systematic missile and bomb attacks on infrastructure in Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia regions. There is a partial blockade of Kharkiv by the enemy. The enemy continues to destroy the infrastructure of the city with artillery.
In the South Buzh direction the enemy conducts aerial reconnaissance in order to identify units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"In combat operations in parts of the territories of the south-eastern regions of Ukraine, separate units of the 103rd, 109th, 113th, 125th and 127th motorized rifle regiments are operating as part of the grouping of the enemy's troops. They were manned during forced mobilization by men from the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk Regions. Structurally, these regiments consist of up to five battalions with about 300 servicemen in each," the statement reads.
The General Staff stressed that only 5-10% of the personnel of these units have combat experience.
"The management of the regiments consists of officers of the Russian Armed Forces. These formations are experiencing significant problems with provision of weapons, ammunition and medicines," the report says.
In the temporarily occupied territories, the Russian military conducts checks of documents, personal belongings and cell phones of the civilian population, as well as carries out forced inspections of premises.
In addition, in some occupied territories of Kharkiv region, the enemy disrupted the cellular communications network. The Russian occupiers are exerting an aggressive informational and psychological influence on the population.
"Significant is the fact that the occupation troops continue to suffer losses in the temporarily occupied territories. Thus, between March 20 and April 12 this year in the city of Melitopol, Zaporozhye region, about 70 Russian servicemen were killed while patrolling the territory at night," the AFU reported.
