Russian President Vladimir Putin named another goal of the "military special operation" in Ukraine. He believes that Russia should help the residents of Donbas.
This was reported by RIA Novosti.
"The goal is to help people in Donbas. The Russian Federation was forced to do this," Putin said.
He called such Russian intentions "noble." The Russian leader added that he has no doubts that the goals and objectives of the "operation" in Ukraine will be fulfilled.
It should be noted that earlier Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that another goal of the "special operation" was the intention to put an end to the US course of domination in the world.
Before that, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitriy Peskov said that the war in Ukraine was supposed to prevent the threat of World War III.
