The General Staff of the AFU told about the operational situation on the fronts at the beginning of the 48th day of the confrontation of the defenders of Ukraine with the Russian military invasion, and informed about the attempts of the occupants to gain a foothold in the Kherson region.
As noted by the General Staff of the AFU on its Facebook page, in the Volyn and Polessk directions the enemy did not take active actions, changes in the position and actions of the enemy units were not recorded here.
On the Siversky direction, Russian troops are completing the redeployment of individual units to the eastern operating zone. Units of the 41st Combined Arms Army of the Central Military District continue to move to certain areas in the Russian regions of Belgorod and Voronezh.
In the Slobozhansky direction, the enemy troops continue a partial blockade of Kharkiv. In the Izyum area, the Rascists conduct combat operations by separate units from the 1st Tank Army and the 20th All-Army Army. The enemy also conducts aerial reconnaissance to identify the positions of Ukrainian units and determine the routes of their advance.
In the Donetsk and Tavrichesk directions, the occupants conduct combat operations and hold certain lines by forces from the Southern Military District. The enemy is moving additional units to fight on the territory of Ukraine.
"There are signs of strengthening the anti-aircraft defense system in the areas of Melitopol and Ilovaysk settlements.
It is likely that in the future the enemy will try to take control of the city of Mariupol, seize Popasna and conduct an offensive in Kurakhovo in order to reach the administrative borders of the Donetsk region," the General Staff noted.
In the South Bug direction, the enemy holds certain lines with the help of units from the Southern Military District. Conducts replenishment of regular losses in manpower and equipment. The occupants are also trying to ensure the survivability of their control points. Russian troops do not leave attempts to entrench themselves on the administrative borders of the Kherson region.
In the Black and Azov Seas the enemy ship groups continue to perform the tasks of isolating the area of combat operations, reconnaissance, and fire support of land units.
The threat of enemy missile attacks persists.
The AFU military in Donetsk and Luhansk regions over the past 24 hours repelled 6 enemy attacks, destroying 4 tanks, 5 armored vehicles, 26 vehicles and 8 artillery systems. A group of the Air Force of the AFU last day hit 7 air targets: 1 plane, 2 helicopters and 4 drones.
The Russian occupants in the temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhia and Kherson regions use the premises of agricultural enterprises, energy and social infrastructure facilities, and the central districts of populated areas to deploy equipment and manpower.
The enemy is attempting to complete the regrouping and relocation of units to concentration areas in the Russian Belgorod and Voronezh Regions, and relocate its aviation to airfields in the immediate vicinity of Ukraine's eastern borders.
The General Staff also said that there had been cases of the enemy conducting combat operations in civilian clothes. In particular, this was recorded in Mykolaiv Region.
