Russia's attempts to advance deep into Ukraine were unsuccessful, the enemy is aimed at Donbas - AFU General Staff

Ukrainian soldiers are successfully deterring the occupiers from advancing deep into Ukraine in most directions. Russia is concentrating its efforts on an offensive in Donbas. The enemy's plans include the full capture of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in an evening summary.

Russia continues to pull forces for the offensive in the Donbas in order to fully seize the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

"In the Donetsk and Tauride directions, the enemy tried to storm the city of Severodonetsk, with no success. During the shelling of Popasna it used Tochka-U tactical missile system. Attempts to advance deep into Ukraine to improve the tactical situation were unsuccessful. In the city of Mariupol, the enemy is conducting assault actions in certain areas of the city," the General Staff noted.

In parallel, the Russian occupiers are trying to blockade Kharkiv and are shelling the city with artillery, mortars and multiple rocket launchers. And in Izyum they are trying to consolidate their positions.

On the South Buzh direction, Putin's army does not abandon its attempts to improve its tactical position and gain a foothold on the administrative border of Kherson Oblast. They succeed with varying success, in particular, due to the increase in desertions recorded by Ukrainian intelligence.

In the Kherson region, the occupants are also trying to break the resistance of local residents through information and psychological operations. They distribute leaflets with a false justification for Putin's "special operation.

People are forced to apply for Russian pensions and payments under Russian law, and propaganda Telegram channels are popularized as a source of "reliable information.

In Zaporizhia, the occupants brought the previously mobilized residents of the ORDLO. They move around the region as part of "mobile patrols" and hold roadblocks.

The "mobilization" continues in the ORDLO. It is planned to replenish the units of the occupation army that have been defeated by Ukrainian soldiers, in particular, with recruits from Luhansk Region. Everyone under the age of 65 will be mobilized indiscriminately. For this purpose, soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces conduct raids on communal enterprises and factories, catching men of conscription age and pulling them by force to the military registration and enlistment offices.

"At the same time, in Alchevsk, with the beginning of hostilities, among the mobilized local residents the irretrievable losses are more than 300 people. More than 1,200 dead have been brought to the hospital in the city of Donetsk since the beginning of the large-scale war," say the General Staff.

And in Crimea, information began to spread among the occupiers about a planned counterattack by the AFU in the Kherson region with possible subsequent entry into the peninsula. And these rumors do not add optimism to the occupants.
