In Mariupol, Russian occupation troops carried out so-called "mopping-up operations. They are looking for alleged "Nazis," killing people by photographing their bodies, and forcibly mobilizing men into the "DPR.
This was reported by Peter Andryushchenko, adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, in Telegram.
"In Mariupol sweeping continues. What is this? First is the search for "Nazis." A Nazi in the understanding of the Russians is anyone who loves his Ukraine and has not submitted to the occupant," Andryushchenko wrote.
According to him, this stage of cleansing takes place not only in filtration camps, but also around the city.
"To that end, the occupiers have set up several roadblocks (mainly in the Kalmius and Central districts). In the process of the sweeps, the occupiers do not hesitate to kill civilians right in the streets and then take pictures, flaunting their 'victory,'" Andryushchenko said.
At the same time, the second sweep, as explained by the mayor's advisor, is the removal of the dead and killed from the streets.
"They are sweeping up the traces. Yesterday we received the first photo confirmation of the mass accumulation of bodies of the dead in the area of the Gardens of the Kalmius district," Andryushchenko noted.
He stressed that this once again confirmed the information about the deployment of crematoriums and the preparation of mass burials not in one place, but by districts.
"Third sweeping, this is part of the forced mobilization of men into the army of Russia's satellite "dnr". By coercion and intimidation, men are driven "under the gun". And finally, about the Kadyrovites in the city. They are part of the Rosgvardia unit. Which proves once again that all their fighting is either against civilians or against empty buildings deep in the rear. Though this is not news," Andryushchenko added.
As a reminder, the Russian military have concentrated their efforts in the direction of Mariupol and Izyum. Now there is a high probability of sabotage in these cities.
