Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, 177 children have been killed. More than 336 more have been injured.
This is reported by the Office of the Attorney General.
"More than 513 children have suffered in Ukraine as a result of the armed invasion of our country by the Russian Federation. At the same time, according to the data received by the juvenile prosecutors, 177 children were killed and more than 336 were injured," the report says.
The department notes that these figures are not final, as work continues to install them in places of active hostilities in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories.
Now the most affected children in the Donetsk region - 108, Kyiv - 93, Kharkiv - 76, Chernihiv - 51, Mykolaiv - 40, Lugansk - 35, Zaporizhzhia - 22, Kherson - 29, the capital - 16, Sumy - 16, Zhitomyr - 15.
Thus, during the fixation of war crimes committed in the settlements of Chernihiv region, which were liberated from the occupants, it was established that on March 4 in a village in Nizhyn district of Chernihiv region, a 14-year-old boy and his brother were going to a store and saw the occupants robbing it. The boys started running away and were shot in the back by Russian soldiers with automatic weapons. The 14-year-old boy died on the spot, and his brother was wounded.
In addition, on April 8, as a result of firing at a civilian vehicle on the road near the village of Karyslavskiy district of the Kherson region, three children were wounded as a result of the shooting of a civilian vehicle on the road near Karyslavskiy district of the Kherson region.
Also on April 8, in a village in Dnipropetrovsk region, a 3-year-old child received mine blast injuries as a result of shelling by Russian soldiers.
And on April 9, a 9-year-old child was injured due to artillery shelling of a residential area in the town of Ugledar, Donetsk region.
The Office of the Prosecutor General adds that 938 educational institutions were damaged as a result of daily bombardment and shelling. Eighty-seven of them were completely destroyed.
