The main efforts of the Russian occupiers are concentrating on the capture of Mariupol in the Donetsk region and an offensive near the town of Izyum in the Kharkiv region, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in operational information as of 6 p.m. Saturday, published on Facebook.
"In the Donetsk direction, the enemy continues to assault actions. The main efforts of the occupiers are focused on taking control of the settlements of Rubezhnoye, Popasna and Novobakhmutovka. At the same time, the invaders continue air strikes on the settlements of Ugledar and Novoselovka II. They are trying to resume the offensive in the areas of Novotoshkovskoye, Stepnoye and Marinka", - said in the message.
At the same time, the General Staff stressed that the enemy continues to launch missile strikes on civilian objects throughout the territory of Ukraine.
In the Slobozhansky direction the occupants continue to partially blockade Kharkiv, and in order to conceal the movement of occupation units on the territory of the Kharkiv region carry out radio-electronic suppression of cellular communication networks.
"There remains a high probability of the involvement of sabotage and reconnaissance groups by the enemy to carry out sabotage on the objects of transport infrastructure," - reported in the General Staff.
