The government cut spending on civil servants' salaries

Due to Russia's war against Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers has decided to cut the expenses on salaries of civil servants by 10%. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal on the air of the national television marathon.

According to Shmygal, we are talking about the total cost of paying salaries in the public sector - except for the public sector, meaning civil servants, not teachers or doctors. He also noted that salaries in the public sector could continue to be cut, if necessary.
