The head of Luhansk Region, Serhiy Gaidai, stated that the Russian occupants do not need the territory of the region. In his opinion, the aggressor needs a "tick" on the administrative border of Luhansk region.
Sergei Gaidai expressed this opinion on air of ICTV. In particular, he said that the occupants are wiped off the face of the earth Popasna.
During the shelling of the city the enemy uses artillery, in particular - "Grad", "Smerch" and "Uragan".
Also, the Russians are bombing Popasna with the help of aviation.
"It's hard for me to put into words, but even if it's not in Popasna, but near somewhere near Popasna... On the highway, from Lisichansk... It is clearly visible and clear that Popasna is simply pelted with mines, artillery, active shells. This and "Grad", "Smerch" and "Uragan". Aircraft are bombing. They're just wiping everything off the face of the earth."

He explained the logic behind the actions of the Russian occupiers. According to Gaidai, they want to destroy the city so they can easily pass this territory when they go on the offensive.
He stated that the Russians don't want the territory of the Luhansk region or the cities of the region. Also, the enemy does not care about the people.
"I can say with all responsibility, the orcs do not need Luhansk territory, Luhansk region, Luhansk cities in general! They need a tick on the border of the geographical Luhansk region - that's it! They don't care about people at all," said the head of the Luhansk RSA.
As confirmation that the Russians don't care about people, Gaidai said that the occupants prevent the evacuation of civilians.
